One-to-One Coaching
One-to-one coaching is a highly effective way to identify, develop and enhance the professional skill-sets of an individual. A coaching relationship is a time-limited partnership designed to help the coachee produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Canning Coaches help senior professionals and executives to develop along their career path; to build on their strengths and manage their weaknesses; to allow them to add real value to their organization.
As coaches, we are experienced certified professionals, trained to listen, observe and challenge, and to elicit solutions and strategies from the coachee, who we believe to be naturally creative and resourceful. Our job is to help coachees see beyond current boundaries and commit to ambitious goals for moving forward.
In order to guarantee a professional and respectful approach, other professional coaches supervise our coaches regularly.
A coaching program with Canning typically includes the following:
- An “intake phase” or “chemistry check” to allow both Coach and Coachee to get to know each other, discuss the approach and the Coach’s style. This step is critical for us as it allows us to assess how “coachable” the situation is.
- A “contracting phase” aimed at clarifying objectives, logistics, and ways of working. This step usually includes the Coach, the future Coachee, the Line-Manager and/or an HR Representative.
- The coaching sessions, the duration and frequency of which are set upfront in agreement with the Coachee.
- In-between session support (by phone or email)
- A final evaluation together with the Line-Manager and/or HR Representative
