Leadership Labs

Canning’s Leadership Labs are stand-alone developmental modules on topics identified as meeting a generic need within your organization.  They are delivered in a “group coaching” format.

Whilst the core content reflects the main theme, the sessions are adapted – as with all of Canning services – precisely to both your organization’s and the participant’s individual and specific needs.

Modules:

  • Leading with Emotional Intelligence
  • Judgment and Decision Making
  • The Manager as Coach
  • Leading High Performance Teams
  • Developing Vision and Strategy

Duration:

  • Normally 2 days per module

Group Size:

  • 4-12 participants

Methodology:

Highly interactive, with hands-on practice through “micro-skilling” all the essential skills and strategies relevant to the core topic.  Participants work in groups and pairs.  A key feature of the sessions is individual feedback and one-to-one work between the facilitator and the participants.

Follow-Up Option and Support:

With many themes, a 2-hour follow-up coaching session – one-on-one between the facilitator and each individual participant – takes place approximately 3 months after the original lab to ensure embedding of the skills.

Telephone and email support between participants and facilitator is available (and encouraged) at any time.
